Creating Heirlooms
When you're choosing a baby gift, you can go with two main routes; you can either choose a baby gift that will be useful now such as a set of receiving blankets or bibs or you can give a gift that won't be useful at the moment, but will be cherished for generations to come as an heirloom piece.
A handmade quilt is one way to give an heirloom gift. Make your quilt out of tightly woven cottons and they will cost a little more but you'll want this to last. You cam make a special design and embroider the baby's name on the quilt. Many parents hang these in the baby's room to use as a decoration.
Another great heirloom gift is a
Blessed Baby Christening Bracelet. This is a gorgeous keepsake bracelet that will commemorate baby's special christening or baptism. This is a beautiful heirloom piece that will be passed down for generations to come. The bracelet is made with cream colored pearls that are spaced with shimmering mirror-cut crystal beads. A lightly hammered charm is attached that reads, "Blessed". There is also a tiny silver cross that dangles from the extension chain and it has a well-made lobster clasp closure. This bracelet comes in two sizes; infant 3.75-4.5 inches and baby/toddler 4.75 -5 inches.
If you're looking for a gift that is sure to please and be regarded for years to come, consider the thoughtful gift of an heirloom for the new baby. You have just started a family tradition!
