Bonding With Your Child Through "Remember When"...
Soon after your gurgling baby grows into a young child with a penchant for asking world record breaking amounts of questions about everything under the sun every single day, you'll also have a child that is curious about the "good old days" when he or she was a little baby.
Have some items on hand to show your child how much she's grown. A fun way to do that is to make it a habit to sit down and read your baby book with your child. She will see how special she has been to the family since even before she was born if you show we photos of the pregnancy or if she was adopted, show photos of when she first joined your family. If you had a shower and made a
belly cast - it will amaze your little one to see your pregnant belly captured in plaster.
A scrapbook or baby book of firsts is a wonderful way to show her how much she's grown and all the milestones that she made along the way. Photos of her first steps, first hair trim, laughing, smiling and playing with favorite toys that may or may not be even interesting any more to a "big kid" will intrigue her. Taking periodic hand prints and letting your child put her hand up to a handprint made long ago is a wonderful way to show her what a big girl she's becoming every day.
There are so many ways to show your little one how special they are to you, showing that you cared enough to immortalize the milestones will make her feel even more loved and appreciated.
