A Gift On Daddy's First Father's Day
Becoming a parent is always the perfect time to celebrate with all of your family and friends. When Father's Day rolls around this time, be sure that you look around for the perfect gift to show him how happy you are that he is a brand new daddy! There are certainly plenty of nice ways that you can show him that you are proud of his new-found parenting skills. Some new mothers will look into gift certificates, electronics, club memberships and so on. However, it may be nice if you get him something that he can use that will remind him each and every day of his brand new little bundle of joy. Since ties have long been a staple of Father's Day shopping, you can give him a gift that is a new and improved, and much more personal spin off of this old favorite. You can actually take and use either your baby's footprints or handprints on a tie that you can customize just for daddy. This is a really memorable gift that you can give that will also be just as fun for you to create with your little one. All of the ink used with this kit is completely safe, non-toxic and also easily washable. You even have your choice of colors including blue, yellow and pink for that dad who is not afraid to wear pink with pride! This Father's Day, you will be able to give a gift that he will cherish for years and years to come.

Throwing A Baby Shower On A Budget
Nobody every said that you have to spend your entire paycheck and then some when you are planning a baby shower for a mommy to be that is either one of your friends or family members. However, the unfortunate fact is that many of the supplies that you will want in order to throw a fantastic and perfect shower are going to be quite expensive. That is, unless you use a couple of tricks and some of the other guests to your advantage. When you find that your funds are low, there is no reason why you cannot enlist a group of friends or family members to help you throw a baby shower. This way you can make sure that the shower is amazing, while none of you will have to take on too much of a money burden at the same time. See if some of the guests who will be attending are willing to bring a hot or cold dish. Perhaps one of the guests will even want to help you out with the baby shower cake. Napkins, accessories and even favors can be split amongst close friends and family members to pull together an incredible event. Depending on the type of shower that you are throwing, you might even want to see if a small group will want to go in on the purchase of a large gift basket that is filled with all sorts of goodies for the mom as well as baby items. All in all, with proper delegation, you will still be able to organize an amazing baby shower that she will never forget! Labels: baby-shower

Best Father's Day Gift, Hands Down
Father's Day is just around the corner and you need something absolutely perfect for that new Dad Or Grandpa. The Handprint Baseball Kit is, by far, the "hands down" winner. This amazing gift will be something he treasures forever. The kit comes with everything you will need to make this a very special day for the man, or men (get one for Dad and Grandpa) in your child's life. It comes with a baseball, non-toxic ink foil sheet and a clear plastic case, ensuring it will be beautifully displayed for everyone to enjoy for years to come. It is quite possible that even the most self-controlled, stoic man will be teary-eyed and speechless when he sees such a thoughtful gift. You will be able to tell that he loves the fact that you took the time and effort to make his day so memorable. He may choose to display it at the office, where all of his co-workers will be sure to see it. Or maybe he will keep it at home to enjoy every day. Either way he will be sure to display it in a very prominent location and will smile whenever someone makes a comment about such a great gift. If you are thinking "but I have a girl", don't worry about the stereotype. Dad or Grandpa may think it is even more special to see his little "sugar and spice" girl's handprint on such a unique gift. Memories are one of the most treasured parts of a family and you will create many wonderful memories with this truly great gift.

Baby, You are Loved
Your best friend just told you she was pregnant. It is so exciting, word spreads quickly and everyone starts to ask you when the shower will be. Wow, hadn't thought of that, but it is traditionally the best friend's "duty". One of the first things to decide on is a theme. You could always ask the soon-to-be mom if she has a preference, or talk to the rest of your friends and get some ideas that way. If you are deciding the theme and don't really want "mom" to know be sure to think about her likes and dislikes, or any hints that she may have dropped. Now that you have picked a theme its time to consider how low-key or elaborate you want to go with the decorating. You may want to try a new twist on an old tradition; instead of getting gift baskets for mom and baby, give each guest a personalized gift basket. Include something uniquely special for each guest to show your appreciation of their love and support. Having a big bash? Be sure you include lots of party games and door prizes. Even the food can be done in a fun manner. How about a build your own sundae buffet? After all, the mom-to-be needs no excuse to splurge and it might be rude if you didn't indulge with her! If you know that some of your guests are watching their weight consider a cute baby carriage piƱata and fill it with candy and small party favors. The most important part of a baby shower is making sure mom has lots of great memories that she can pass on to her baby, possibly creating a tradition, or just showing her child how much they are loved.

A Low Key Baby Celebration
Having a child is always cause for celebration, however sometimes a family simply wants to have a quiet gathering of friends to welcome their new bundle into the world. Although many families like to go through all of the steps to have a traditional baby shower or gathering with all sorts of bells and whistles, some people like to keep things a bit more scaled down. If you are a family that is more on the quiet side and you like to keep things simple, then there is nothing wrong with having a low key yet beautiful shower or celebration to bring your loved ones together. Many times, a low key shower will be thrown for the couple whose baby has already arrived. When you begin the planning, this can be a co-ed shower if you would like, where parents and their children can come by and visit with the happy new parents and their brand new bundle of joy. Setting up such an event can be a terrific way for new parents to get to know some other parents as well, which can be a terrific way to form friendships and play dates later on down the road. Since there are never any set rules for the set up of a shower or small celebration, you are pretty much free to plan as you wish. You can go with personalized favors or even give small, thoughtful gifts to those guests who are in attendance. Because these gatherings are generally meant for close friends and family members, you could even think of hiring a photographer who can catch candid photos of everyone when they get to hold the baby for the first time.

The Beauty Of Adoption
No matter what the circumstance may be, the adoption of a child is always a perfect reason to celebrate. As with an impending birth, adoptive parents are waiting on pins and needles for their child to finally make it home to them. If you happen to be lucky enough to know a family or couple who will be bringing a child into their home through adoption, you may be looking for a great gift to give to show them that you are there to support them every step of the way. All depending on the age of the child that they are going to be adopting, you can always buy age appropriate toys or clothing. If the adoption process was sped up a lot faster than the family or couple had anticipated, then these sorts of items are always more than welcome, especially if they did not have the proper amount of time to shop and prepare. Items such as diapers and other toiletries may be necessary, or you could even go in on a larger necessity such as a stroller or a changing table with other friends or family members. A gift basket filled with the basics will always be welcome. A child who has been adopted into a family is very special, especially because they were chosen. Giving a baby, toddler or older child a happy and loving environment to live in is an amazing event. You can share in the joy by throwing the family a shower or party to help welcome their new addition as well. Balloons and favors are always a pleasant surprise for happy adoptive families. The perfect gift may even be a personalized blanket for the child that they can grow up to cherish with their brand new last name on it.

Christening Your Child
Whether you consider yourself religious or spiritual, you'll agree that a baptism or christening gift is the perfect gesture of placing your child on the correct path of life. Many of the fine gifts that loved ones choose to give include crosses, blessing bonnets, and special keepsakes and baskets. Christening is a special time in the life of a child, and serves to bring family members and friends together in a very special way. For the parents, it is an opportunity to publicly vow that they will teach the child to live according to spiritual principles. For the child, it is a universal symbol of being purified. For many cultures around the world, the tradition encourages naming a child in a way that will gracefully place it on the path of life. The tradition also plays a very important role in reminding each of us of the moments our own lives were placed on the path of life. It's the little things in life that mean a lot, and choosing the perfect religious or spiritual gift will set the stage for giving for an entire lifetime. A beautiful bracelet is a gift that can be passed from generation to generation. The Blessed Baby Christening Bracelet is made of charming pearls and crystal beads, which includes the inscription "Blessed" on the backside of the charm. The truest gift of life is actually found in the act of giving. However, with the right gift, it makes giving a graceful and loving act for those who relish in the thought.
